Im not sure if it was just a fluke but the wait for our food was entirely too long. Usually when I go out to a restaurant, im in and out in about 45min give or take. We were in there for over an hour. The check came faster than the food. Our drinks were decent, though my grandmother prefers her water for tea to come from a fountain from hell. I’ve been here twice and both times found the atmosphere to be a little tense, and not relaxed. Perhaps it was just the day I went as the manger was clearly angery and beet red. The one standout dish I think is worth coming back for, is their dates wrapped in bacon on top of a tomato sauce. It was one of the best appetizers I’ve tried in Berkeley. What a wonderful restaurant l! We we walked in Just a few minutes before 2 pm and they graciously welcomed us. The service was outstanding during our whole meal. There were accommodating to ourparty of four including a wheelchair.. I asked them for recommendations on dishes to eat and all of the dishes they recommended were spot on.
