Gusto is a locally owned small business that proudly brings authentic Algerian cuisine to downtown Berkeley for prices that the average person can afford. Its my first time trying Algerian cuisine here, and honestly it was a great experience! We tried here the kebab plate which has lamb and chicken, both were tender, juicy,full of flavor and must important prepared fresh right infront. also had their signature couscous pot, which was such a highlight for me. Absolutely phenomenal addition to the neighborhood serving authentic Algerian food and Persian kabobs. The owner is delightful and very passionate. The food is cooked perfectly and represents both cultures well. Extremely fair prices, portion sizes and clean Ingredients. You don’t feel heavy at all after the meal.
